BVK rods are designed to excel in both presentation and distance aspects of casting and fishing. Customers have been amazed at how well BVK's cast. They are smooth and easy at all distances. These rods are fairly fast, yet super-lightweight. For example, an eight-weight BVK weighs about as much as the conventional six-weight rod. Three through five-weight BVK rods are made to protect fine tippets. You will find that 5X tippet material is difficult to break with these rods if your knots are tied well. We all know that favorite trout rods are engineered this way. As lightweight as BVK models are, they are also incredibly strong due to some magic materials engineering within each rod blank. Lefty says, "My friends on the Outer Banks of NC have been catching albacore (Little Tuna) weighing more than 12 pounds. While testing prototypes I used a 20-pound tippet and tried to break the BVK —no luck. Customers tell us BVK's throw a long line as well as any rod in their class."
