Rio Skagit Cheaters

Skagit casting requires that the head length of the line is 2.5 to 3.5 times the length of the rod. Add a Skagit cheater to RIO’s Skagit line, Skagit Flight or Skagit Short to maintain this ratio. Skagit Cheaters are 5 ft extension sections to add to Skagit lines to help maintain a comfortable casting stroke. These sections go between the front of the Skagit line and the required tip. Or they can be used to shorten older style WindCutter fly lines. Size designation is not he weight of the Cheater, but is the size range of Skagit or WindCutter lines that they fit with.
