To reduce cost to the fly tier, Whiting farms is offering premium dry
fly saddles that have been divided into quarters. There is enough
hackles to tie hundreds of full dressed flies. These 1/4 saddles
come graded in to sizes. Hackles that will tie size #14 flies and
larger and hackle that will tie size #14 flies and smaller. The
larger size will be mixed #12, #14 with a very few #10 hackles (Larger).
The smaller size will be #14, #16 with some #18 hackles (Smaller).
Average hackle length is 8" to 11". Some skins contain
hackle over 12" long. The stems on these hackle are very fine
in diameter and very strong and pliable. Barbual count is very
high. The result is that each hackle will tie many premium, high
floating dry flies. These hackles are offered in 10 different
colors. All packages are Silver Grade. |
