| This vise is for the tier who is mainly interested in tying small flies and streamers. The jaw is slender and set at an angle to allow maximum finger clearance behind and around the hook. This uniquely angled jaw allows the hook to be held so the hook shank is on the center line of the rotary shaft when using the rotary feature of the vise. The hook shank will, therefore, turn on its own axis so your thread, hackle or any other material will be smoothly wound onto the hook with precision and ease. | ||
