| Brian Silvey started his career as a commercial fly tier at The Fly Fishing Shop while still in high school. It soon became obvious that Brian had uncommon talents as a fly tier, and he acquired journeyman's skills very quickly. After he graduated from high school he obtained a fishery degree from Mt. Hood Community College, but made a decision that he was going to become a professional fly fishing guide instead of a fisheries manager. Brian now resides with his wife and two children on their ranch in Central Oregon and is a full time guide on the Deschutes and other local rivers. He is a fly designer for Idylwilde. | |
