My newest boat is even more ostentatious than the last. If Mercedes Benz made drift boats, they would copy this one. It's red, white and blue inside and out. Deep padded seats make the ride more luxurious. Cavernous amounts of dry storage compartments organize and protect our gear. This boat is a fish hunting machine which is the culmination of refinements over many years. |
| 2001 - 2004 "There are very few things in life that have exceeded my expectations." I must say that my association with ClackaCraft is one of them. This is the third season on the water with a ClackaCraft boat. ClackaCrafts are tough, agile fishing machines. My Northwest 17 can haul three clients with comfort and safety. It also hauls all of the gear to keep us camping on the river for days. |

November 4, 1999 ...last
trip of the season...three big guys + 250 pounds of gear...river running
6260cfs & 48 degrees...cold wind, some rain...dense cloud cover,
poor visibility...the last six rapids big and snarly...my ClackaCraft "Northwest 17" fiber glass drift boat makes it
just another routine three days at the office ...the take-out at Heritage Landing is warm and dry... and so were we...even before we got there. of course it isn't always cold & windy... |

- Most days it's warm and sunny... As a mater of fact, sometimes you could dream that your wife is your best fishing buddy & that you got all the right gear & the best steelhead river to play on...& occasionally you had to take your best fishing buddy on a camp-out trip to test equipment, like a new drift boat.
