This boat was designed specifically to be the best fly-angler transportation on the Deschutes River. Like all boats used by The Fly Fishing Shop it is "over-built" for comfort & safety. This boat is certified for eight passengers. It provides extra roominess for the planned maximum client load of four anglers. What really attracted me to the Alumaweld Company for a jet boat were two facts: (1) I rowed the same 1981 model 17' Alumaweld drift boat for 18-seasons and sold it for the same amount I paid for it. It had hundreds of  tough guide days on it and gave outstanding service and value. (2) There are no skip-welds in Alumaweld boats. Every weld is a solid line with no gaps anywhere. Nearly every other aluminum boat manufacturer uses skip-welding to save time and money, but only solid welds are the best possible way to attach one aluminum part to another.   The power plant in my boat is a 350c.i./330 h.p. port-fuel-injected Chevrolet V8 from Kodiak Marine, which turns an American Turbine HD 4" jet pump. This boat is fast. With three passengers on board it cruises at 35 mph at 3500 rpm (according to the onboard GPS). The large roomy cabin provides shade when the weather is hot.  This same cabin has closures and forced air heaters to keep you comfortable when the weather is cold.  Snap-on removable carpet sections have been installed fore and aft to facilitate entry and exit of anglers wearing studded sole wading shoes.  There are six holders to protect Spey rods or other fly rods.
