Artist: A.D. Maddox
AD Maddox is from Nashville, Tennessee and was raised in an
environment, painting for as long as she can remember. After traveling extensively in her 20's she settled in Jackson Hole, Wyoming where she began her professional career painting trout. "Trout are chameleon-like, constantly changing color in and out of water - They represent an intriguing color palette and artistic
challenge. "Maddox, is self-taught, and paints in oil mainly
on Belgian linen and develops each piece with her signature
layering technique. Fascinated by bright colors, Maddox is
constantly challenged by each piece. "Each painting has a
crux which I have to tweak, harmonize and fine tune the
colors for the image to pop. This is the never ending process as
an artist!" Her style is always changing as portrayed in her
works throughout the years. Maddox currently resides in
Nashville where she balances her studio time with fly fishing
trips and of course ... Motorcycling!

Artist: Bern Sundell
Bern Sundell combines his two great passions in life, fly fishing and painting. A fly fisherman since childhood, he also is well known for his colorful and detailed artwork. Born in Montana, this son of a forest ranger grew up fishing on the Smith River. His art took him to other places for a time but then he returned to Ennis, his original hometown. Bern and his wife have River Stone Gallery there and he
can often be found on the
Madison River or other great trout waters in the area. Bern
fishes for big trout, the big browns in particular, and the fish
he catches transform themselves into his visions on canvas.

Artist: Josh Udesen
Josh Udesen's art is an exemplification of his passion for rivers, the admiration for the fish that habitat them, and his love of fly fishing. After living in Alaska, Oregon and a brief stint in Tashkent, Uzbekistan he now resides in Boise, Idaho with his wife and young daughter. His artistic "hobby" has only recently developed into a more integral part of his life, but he still juggles a career as a high school
philosophy, history and
comparative religions teacher at Riverstone International School
in Boise. With what spare time he does have he is likely trying
to keep up with his wife who typically is first into the rapid,
fastest up the hills and most likely to land a big fish. When he
is not chasing her, he is keeping his two-year-old daughter
Sydney from climbing the chimney or riding one of their two
dogs. Although he no longer fishes a hundred days a year, he
still thinks a lot about salmonfly hatches and steelhead on the
swing and, on occasion, he manages to chase a trout or steelhead
on one of the many rivers he loves. Ultimately what has made
this transition to art most exciting is the realization that
many people share his fascination, affection and affliction for
fish. To enjoy the development of this new artist please view his
portfolio, upcoming shows and news about his art at his
website: www.tightlinestudio.com in addition to his facebook
