Jennifer Mitchell

Jennifer has been around the sport of fishing all her life, as she grew up in a family of avid steelheaders in Longview, Washington. It wasn't that long ago when she picked up her first fly rod, thanks to meeting her, now husband, Jack. From the beginning, she had always been enamored with the eloquence of the cast and the effectiveness of the two handed rod, when it comes to catching steelhead. She has been in love with it ever since. It has become, and still is, her most favorite way to fish the fly.

She is co-owner and operates The Evening Hatch Guide Service & Fly Shop out or Yakima Washington, with her husband, Jack Mitchell. She guides steelhead trips, either walk/wade or float trips, on the Klickitat River. She is well versed in two handed rod tactics and loves to teach others the sport of spey fishing. Over the years, she has been fortunate to be featured in various publications...one in particular, is Catch Magazine's #8 issue, in Todd Moen's video segment called Spey Style.
