Bob Clay  began to fish the Kispiox River in 1971 and moved there permanently in 1977. Starting to guide in the 80's Bob developed a successful guiding business which he later sold to build bamboo fly rods. Mentored by Tom Morgan and Marty Karstetter in the art of bamboo rod building, Bob found his niche in the Bamboo Spey rod   Bob along with his wife Kathy live at Riverwatch on the banks of the Kispiox River. On there small farm they raised 4 children and many an orphaned steelheader.
