Recent Pictures of Our Waters
We all have our fish stories.  Some of us document them.  Last up-dated 10/24/00

"Games don't always get better when they get easier.  Hard games make us stronger
....especially when we're laughing about it!"

The air is colder than the water.  Keith Carlson learns the fine art of spey casting in the rising mist of morning. 10/23

The steelhead didn't wake up until the sun was full on the water.  Ken Matsumoto displays his 11 pound buck with Chris Santella. 10/23

Summer steelhead are the elite fish of the Pacific Northwest.  This time of the year their colors are brilliant.

Lunch by the river, barbequed steaks, micro brews and  comradery.   Coupled with the backdrop of the Deschutes Canyon,  it's a hard  to beat.

"There is more to fishing than just catching fish".  Maybe it's the beauty.

Swarms of  glittering giant October Caddis  form a halo around the juniper trees like so many Christmas tree lights.

Steelhead will make you earn them.
But, that just makes them more precious when
you connect.
Steelhead
are more precious than diamonds.
And so are good fishing partners.
Thanks, MB

Up-date on Wee Burn Creek Restoration Project 04/11.

Where there once was naked sterile streambed now there are waving water plants and all of the critters that depend on them.
Wee Burn Creek

Wee Burn  Creek flows across Resort At The Mountain Golf Course.  For years it was dewatered and canalized.  Through careful planning and much hard work by local residents, Wee Burn Creek is on the mend and supports an increasingly healthy population of  wild Coho Salmon.  Click here for more good news!
