| Current Condition: Warming weather has
brought snow melt, and the river is higher than normal fishing levels. The
river is in perfect condition for fly fishing. Summer
steelhead and spring Chinooks are in the river in good numbers. Please treat all wild
fish gently. The main stem of the Sandy River is open to fishing to the mouth of the Salmon River. Be respectful of private property in this new section of the river. Most access is through private property. All tributaries and main stem upstream from mouth of Salmon River are now closed for the year. The road into Marmot Dam is open to the bottom of the hill at the house, most of the time. It can be closed when there is snow. |
